We are now developing our own IT infrastructure and set-up to support a growing business and to ensure an IT environment which allows us as a modern and dynamic biopharmaceutical company to reach our goals.
To spearhead the IT challenges as well as in the development and execution of an IT strategy in the transition from being a technology platform company to being a drug developing biotech company, Albumedix is now looking for a experienced IT Manager with technological ambitions and drive.
Initially the function will report into the head of Licensing & IP, who today is responsible for IT operations.
The position is based in Nottingham (UK).
Main tasks at hand
- Define, plan, and execute our IT strategy from scratch, e.g.
- Develop and implement a modern, scalable and secure IT infrastructure and application roadmap to fit a growing biopharma company
- Define sourcing of IT Services including requirement specification and contract negotiation for e.g. support and maintenance of IT systems
- Build IT support function for all users and in-house bespoke systems
- Manage the IT budget
- Secure clarity on cost and secure cost effective implementation of strategy
- Ensure stable operations of the IT landscape through strong vendor management.
- Networks, mobile and remote access
- Design, develop and implement policies and procedures
- E.g. hardware positive list, software positive list
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
- Firewall and malware protection
- Data storage, back-up of data and systems
- Define the needed organization to support the IT Strategy
- Identify, appoint and manage external service providers
- Secure training is available for all relevant user
- Identify and manage hardware/software vendors and contracts
- Act as Project Lead for any IT Projects
- Be a major stakeholder in the Albumedix Standalone Project – ensuring a successful carve-out from larger company
- Project examples being DIMS update, migration to cloud in the future, updating on all bespoke lab systems
