The Position

In close cooperation with BBHS's experienced employees and reporting to the managing director, you will be the BBHS Station Manager at Edinburgh Airport. You will be responsible for the servicing and maintenance of the BBHS system, as well as a team of 4-6 operators using the BBHS products. You will become the customers' lifeline in ensuring optimal utilization and use of the products, and lead improvements in the operating parameters of their plant - through operational and technical product support.

Based in Edinburgh or the surrounding area, your role involves leading the team’s efforts on the ground - through independent planning. Your commitment will be shown through your drive to expand your knowledge and develop an in-depth understanding of BBHS products. It is critical you build solid relationships with the customer, by understanding their challenges, to ensure a long-term collaboration.

Airport operations are conducted with multiple stakeholders, that all are involved in the delivery of baggage to/from the aircraft. Your role will be to liaise with the involved parties and ensure continuous improvement of the processes offered on site by BBHS. This includes following up with relevant parties and ensuring continuous commitment and engagement in automating baggage handling.

Your formal education is not essential, but a technical/operational background in the process industry (as a process technician, operations manager, or the like) is an advantage. If you have a strong understanding of the baggage handling industry, that is also an advantage. But most importantly you must possess a natural interest in technical processes and thrive in an independent work environment with customer and team relationships.
