Moodagent is looking for a temporary Editorial Content Manager to cover for our Sr. Editorial Content Manager in Denmark while she is on maternity leave.

You have 3+ years of experience in editorial content creation and music curation, great writing and communications skills and a genuine passion for music. You stay constantly updated on music news and have an encyclopedic knowledge of music.

As our temporary Editorial Content Manager, you will be an active part of the Danish marketing team, ensuring a fruitful cooperation where editorial in-app and web content are aligned with marketing initiatives for maximum synergy and impact. In addition, you will work closely with the Global Editorial team situated at our headquarters in central Copenhagen.

You will continuously develop and pitch new ideas that engage our Danish users and enrich the Moodagent experience, and you will execute on the Danish editorial strategy - set by our current Sr. Editorial Content Manager - while taking global guidelines into consideration.

On a daily basis you will create newsy, deep-dive and throwback articles for our new Danish website as well as short text-and-image stories for the Moodagent in-app feed, and you will also conduct interviews, create newsletters and other impacting content to ensure a strong presence of the Danish music scene. At the same time as you create content in Danish, you will translate and feature content produced by the Global Editorial team.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for playlist curation in Denmark, selecting a healthy and diverse assortment of releases for in-app features and securing a steady stream of music stories aimed at anyone with a love of or curiosity about music.

Moodagent is all about creating a new standard for music discovery. Your content will convey a burning passion for music, where each featured release or story will function as an entry point for exciting listening journeys.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In collaboration with the Danish marketing team and under guidance from Global Editorial, execute on the established Danish editorial strategy
  • Function as both Editor and writer of Danish music features (website and in-app)
  • If needed, conduct interviews with artists and transform them into content on the Danish website (video and/or written articles)
  • Curate featured playlists and update cover artwork in the playlists
  • Together with the Danish marketing team, create newsletters for the Danish market with engaging editorial content
  • Translate and localize relevant Global Editorial material (English to Danish)
  • Work actively as an editorial member of the the Danish marketing team, while collaborating with Global Editorial and following the general editorial guidelines
  • Ensure your content and music selections live up to all applicable legal obligations and remain socially engaged, globally switched-on and diverse
  • Track and report performance on editorial content
  • Maintain a finger on the pulse with latest releases, news, calendar events and trends, to ensure you create content that is relevant and consistent with the Moodagent tone of voice

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Danish and English (fluently written and read)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • 3+ years of communications, editorial and possibly curatorial experience
  • An excellent communicator and approachable employee with experience in cross functional working
  • A creative approach to deliver engaging editorial content
  • Always deliver within deadlines
  • Knowledge of various CMS systems, word processing, spreadsheets, SEO and basic image editing
  • Ambitious and creative with an eye for music trends
  • The ability to multitask while maintaining a meticulous attention to detail is essential
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively
  • Flair for working in the intersection of tech and music
  • Collaborative, team-focused style of working. Self-sufficient and a positive attitude, a natural problem solver
  • A passionate music enthusiast with a wide perspective spanning across numerous genres and decades, both niche and mainstream
