Head of Marketing for a new music streaming service

We are looking for a performance marketing specialist to manage our marketing efforts in Denmark and serve as part of the Danish management team. With superior technical and full-funnel senior expertise you will build our new digital marketing team and lead the implementation - and continually optimization – of your mapped out annual performance marketing plan.

With a strong focus on performance marketing, SEO and real-time measurement, you will pioneer an integrated, and highly efficient, cross-functional paid/earned relationship with our Danish Editorial team. In addition, you will administer the local marketing calendar and function as overall accountable for activating campaigns and programs developed both locally and by our global marketing team.

You are KPI-driven and bias to action and you show strong ability to get the job done in a company with many new stakeholders and dotted lines. Functional success will be measured in the role’s ownership capabilities and ability to implement an effective and scalable acquisition and retention engine, in collaboration with global stakeholders. Individual KPIs include media efficiency & effectiveness, traffic to online properties, customer acquisition, channel health and churn rate.

The position is new and based at our headquarters, situated in downtown Copenhagen. The Head of Marketing reports to the General Manager of Moodagent Denmark.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement robust customer acquisition and retention growth strategies (mobile) with predictable ROI across B2C channels  
  • Drive the Danish marketing calendar and launch multi-channel campaigns with focus on performance marketing, SEO and real-time measurement
  • Manage performance on all marketing channels and ongoing optimization of the annual performance marketing plan
  • Drive segmentation schemes, customer journey and integration across paid and pull media on owned properties
  • Institute lifecycle marketing, best practices and channel health monitorization
  • Ensure maximum contribution to revenue and business growth through search
  • Define and manage marketing budgets across marketing channels and forecast the business contribution of each
  • Test programs across owned and paid channels utilizing automation, content creation/distribution, email and retention marketing strategies
  • Optimize processes, tools, systems and decision-making efficiency in the commercial planning process
  • Provide upstream reporting on performance and channel operations
  • Participate in weekly management meetings and engage in development and roll-out of market strategy

Qualifications:

  • Full-funnel, digital marketing specialist with 8+ years of experience implementing customer acquisition and retention growth strategies – preferably in B2C SaaS
  • Proven successful experience in developing and executing marketing strategies delivering on performance targets (ROI for CAC, CAC payback vs. churn, LTV/CAC specific to paid, SEO and CRM channels)
  • 8+ years of experience executing digital paid media campaigns (Google, SoMe)
  • 5+ years of experience managing a B2C SaaS digital marketing team
  • Deep understanding of consumer marketing channels and media landscape in Denmark
  • Strong experience with local planning and activation of globally produced campaigns (from headquarters)
  • Danish native proficiencies (verbal and written), full professional fluency in English (written/verbal) 
  • The right candidate might have a relevant higher education

  • Comfortable with ambiguity with strong ability to force decision-making and act without complete overview of landscape
  • Strong interpersonal and presentations skills with proven comfort in interfacing all levels of management
