We are looking for a Musicologist to join us in Mumbai. You will play a pivotal role in localisation and curation efforts as we launch in India.

We are looking for a Musicologist with comprehensive music repertoire and catalogue knowledge of Hindi, English and Punjabi music, a strong understanding of the music ecosystem and a good understanding of digital audience behaviours.

Based in Mumbai, this role will work closely with the Lead Musicologist in India.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating error-free metadata
• Optimise the Indian content experience by applying your music knowledge to data anomalies content filters and curation challenges.
• Utilise analytics and data to inform curation and editorial decisions and provide algorithm recommendations.

Who You Are:

• You have a background in music programming, editorial or music journalism
• You have an extensive knowledge of music genres, pop culture and cultural trends with a focus on Indian repertoire
• You have passion for music particularly in Hindi, Punjabi, and English across genres
• You have an analytical mindset and keen problem-solving skills
