Senior Editorial Content Manager, Denmark

Moodagent is looking for a Senior Editorial Content Manager with +5 years of experience in editorial content creation and music curation to join our growing and dedicated team at our headquarters in Copenhagen. You have a genuine passion for music, great writing and communications skills, stay constantly updated on music news and have an encyclopedic knowledge of music history.

As Senior Editorial Content Manager, with reference to the Danish team lead, you will execute and develop the Danish editorial strategy under guidance from the Global Editorial team.
You’ll work as an active part of, but editorially independent from, the Danish marketing team, ensuring a fruitful cooperation where editorial content and marketing initiatives are aligned for maximum synergy and impact.

You’ll produce content in Danish, to be published daily as bite-sized text-and-image stories for the Moodagent in-app feed. You’ll create an ongoing colorful stream of newsy, timely, deep-dive and throwback articles for our new Danish website, conduct interviews, create newsletters and other impacting content to ensure a strong presence of the Danish music scene across all our channels. 

You will continuously develop and pitch new ideas that engage our users and enrich the Moodagent experience. You’ll be translating and featuring content from the Global Editorial team, and cooperate closely with the Danish Marketing team, while setting your own direction for a distinctive Danish editorial profile.

You will be responsible for playlist curation in Denmark, selecting a healthy and diverse assortment of releases for in app features and securing a steady stream of music stories aimed at anyone with a love of or curiosity about music.

Moodagent is all about creating a new standard for music discovery. Your content will convey a burning passion for music, where each featured release or story will function as an entry point for exciting listening journeys.

Responsibilities    

  • Develop and execute the Danish strategy in collaboration with the Danish marketing team and under guidance from Global Editorial at the Moodagent HQ
  • Translate and localize relevant global editorial material (English to Danish)
  • Deliver quality content for feedcards that is ready to be adapted by the marketing teams on SoMe
  • Eclectic curation of featured playlists
  • Ensure your content and music selections live up to all applicable legal obligations and remain socially engaged, globally switched-on and diverse
  • Track and report performance on editorial content
  • Maintain a finger on the pulse with latest releases, news, calendar events and trends, to ensure you create content that is relevant and consistent with the Moodagent tone of voice
  • Find innovative and exciting ways to introduce users to the Moodagent magic by creatively playing with the technology
  • Continuous dialogue with the label relations manager, community managers and the Danish marketing team
  • Responsible for selecting new releases to be featured in various Danish editorial channels both in-app and in newsletters etc.
  • Create attractive newsletters for the Danish market with engaging editorial content
  • Deliver editorial input to production of Danish podcasts
  • Develop and pitch new editorial-concepts that will strengthen the Moodagent experience and may be applied globally

Qualifications

  • Danish and English (fluently written and read)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • 5+ years of communications, editorial and curatorial experience
  • You are an excellent communicator and approachable employee with experience in cross functional working
  • A creative and innovative approach to deliver engaging editorial content
  • You know a good story when you see it, and you know how to turn it into captivating content
  • Always deliver within deadlines
  • Steadfast interest in equality and diversity across culture and art
  • You are ambitious and creative with an eye for music trends and are prepared to develop and own campaigns for established and developing artists
  • The ability to multitask while maintaining a meticulous attention to detail is essential
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively
  • Flair for working in the intersection of tech and music
  • Knowledge of various CMS systems, word processing, spreadsheets and basic image editing
  • Collaborative, team-focused style of working. Self-sufficient and a positive attitude, a natural problem solver
  • Constantly curious and eager to learn new skills
  • A passionate music enthusiast with a wide perspective spanning across numerous genres and decades, both niche and mainstream.
